US Embassy holds interactive session with DAVIET students for H-1B and Student Visa Guidance

Jalandhar: Delegation from US Embassy on Tuesday visited DAV Institute of Engineering & Technology (DAVIET) for providing guidance to the students of Engineering and Management about H-1B and Student Visa. The Visit drew attraction and attention because a large no of DAVIETians have either choosen USA as work destination or have joined Graduation Programmes (MS/MBA) after completion of B. Tech Course, thus the Officials of US Embassy selected DAVIET for guiding properly about the Opportunities that students can have if they wish to migrate to USA in Future.
Mr. Kevin W. Friloux (First Secretary, Consul) and Mr. Rajender S. Marwaha (Fraud Investigations Specialist), Embassy of the United States of America interacted with the Final Year Students of B. Tech and MBA and addressed their Queries and guided them about H-1B and Student Visa. Students of B. Tech asked the officials about the scope of MS and the probability of getting Jobs in US, they asked the official about the internship opportunities in the US companies and the impact of President Elections in the coming Future. MBA students asked the officials regarding Courses available for Management Students and how Government of US supporting new Startups. Mr. Kevin shared about the Universities and Various University Programmes available in US for different courses and how to get permanent residency in US. He also said that the growth rate of India is more than the US and all corporate of US are looking to setup their Offices in India so the both the countries will work together and grow equally. He also shared that those who come on work permit to US through corporates like Infosys, SAP, Accenture etc can work there for 3 to 10 Years on H1-B Visa. He addressed all the queries and cleared the doubts of both Engineering and Management Students.
Dr. Manoj Kumar, Principal welcomed the Officials and conveyed his gratitude for addressing all queries of students and guide them about H-1B and Student Visa. The event concluded with informative interactions of students with the Officials of US Embassy on various study opportunities and getting permanent residency in US.
