Unique initiative of school lecturers imparts free coaching to 148 students of science stream

Chandigarh, April 15, 2015: The Education Department in its unique initiative has imparted free coaching of 148 students of science stream in Jalandhar District. Disclosing this official spokesperson of the education department said that under these unique initiative lecturers of government schools voluntarily came forward to impart free coaching to 148 students of 18 schools. They imparted coaching for the AIEEE and AIPMET examinations where as the free coaching to 69 students of medical stream is still continue.

The Education Minister Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema would felicitate 14 lecturers of science stream and 3 other academicians who imparted free coaching, at a special function to be organised on April 16 at Jalandhar. The Spokesperson said that the Education Minister persuaded the lecturers for this novel task during a meeting of district science supervisor. He said that the Science faculty of Jalandhar was the first to embrace this idea of the Education Minister and they started imparting free coaching to 148 students from March 25, 2015 at Govt. Girls Senior Secondary school, Nehru Garden.

Dr. Cheema would honour these 14 lecturers tomorrow along with DEOs (secondary education) Harinder Pal Singh, District Science Supervisor Baljinder Singh and Principal of Govt. Girls Senior Secondary school, Nehru Garden Gurinderjit Kaur. The lecturers to be honoured are Ramesh Kumar, Bhupinder Singh, Harinder Kaur, Suman Sharma, Seema Arora, Arwinder Kaur, Maninder Kaur, Rubinder Kaur, Nalini Sikka, Parmjit Kaur, Kanwaljit Kaur, Kulwant Rai Puri, Lalit Kalia and Sukhdev Pal.
