A delegation of UCPMA being flagged off at Ludhiana on Thursday, for Shanghai to participate in 26th China International Bicycle & Motor Fair.

Ludhiana, May 6, 2016: A delegation of the United Cycle Parts & Manufacturers Association (UCPMA), Ludhiana on Thursday left for Shanghai to participate in the 26th China International Bicycle & Motor Fair.

This is for the 12th consecutive year that the UCPMA delegates are going to participate in the international fair in Shanghai.

Manjeet Singh Khalsa, K.K.Seth, Avtar Singh Bhogal, Surinder Singh Mapco, Raj Pal Singh Khera (AETC Ludhiana) were among those who flagged off the delegation.

The delegation is comprised of 42 bicycle manufacturers. These manufacturers are the members of the UCPMA.

The UCPMA president Charanjit Singh Vishivkarma is leading the delegation.

The delegates will be looking for high end bicycle technology.

The delegates say that bicycle is in-expensive, keep our health fit, protects the environment and reduced the oil bill. We have to introduce bicycle with new features, make it stylist and trendy. Government across the world is aiding bicycle industry through various bicycle promotion schemes, they further say.

The UCPMA leaders strongly believe that Ludhiana can become a hub of providing cycle & cycle parts to the world, we have excellent potential for export of these products, but there is need to access to global market.

They further believe that cycle Industry is developing at a very fast pace and India has the advantage of having the largest young population having knowledge of the English language, which is well accepted and spoken at the international-level. They say that the knowledge of this language is a value additional in an industrialist contemplating to reach his products in the global market.

They say that Indian cycle can generate phenomenal increase in employment opportunities, exercise and fun also. Ludhiana has the major cycle industry and there is a great potential in this sector.

They further say that China International Bicycle & Motor Fair gathers all the international and local market leaders from the industry, displays products from components to manufacturing equipments, addresses all important target groups and thus creates the best communication and business environment for both sides and global businessmen will represent their “Low-Carbon and Alloy and Eco-friendly Mobility” technology. “Therefore our delegation will showcase the advanced technology, fashionable products, modern design, innovative ideas, as well as the sustainable mobility during the exhibition
and look for Alloy Frame, Pedals, Alloy Rim, Disk Break, Fiber Frame, liver and other parts of bicycle there.”

They say that cycle is becoming more important in every individual’s life in regard to keeping the health good and keeping the environment pollution free. Where ever the cycle fares & exhibitions are being organised these are being widely attended by the global buyers. Exhibitors and buyers share and enjoy the benefit for their participation in the show. In 2016 the focus will be on Globalization and trade cooperation.

They say that China, the largest bicycle producing and sales country in the world, generated the total production volume of 35.05 million units E-bike, Rickshaw and Bicycle 66% in world with year-on-year growth of 13.2 percent in 2012, of which 1.499 million units of lithium battery E-bikes. With rapid development of social economy and living standard, more and more Chinese people follow the trend of “Low-Carbon & Alloy and Eco-friendly Mobility”, and E-bike and Rickshaw industry is increasingly booming in China.

India produces 5000 cycle per day means 18.25 lacs cycle per annual and make revenue 7 crore from cycle and cycle parts industry.

At the time of flagging off ceremony of the delegation, a booklet of China tour was released by Chanranjit Singh Vishvkarma and other guests.

Inderjit Singh navyug (Sr. Vice President), Rajeev Jain (Gen. Secretary), Rajinder Singh Pappu (Secretary), Rajinder Singh Sarhali (Propaganda Secretary), Achhru Ram Gupta (Finance Secretary) and Harjit Singh Sondh (Vice President) were among those present.
