As part of the vigorous effort of TMREIS for bringing all out development in students of TMREIS to made them excel in the field of Education and Sports, two students Master C. Karthik, Students of Class VIII, TMRS Mahboobnagar Boys -1 and Master B. They have been selected as Sailors for NAVY BOYS SPORTS COMPANY BATCH – II at INS MANDOVI, GOA.
A sport like sailing requires great mental strength and courage to face challenges in deep waters. Three kids from marginalised communities in Telangana who have already seen enough challenges in life, are now making it big in sailing. These young sailors come from modest backgrounds, where most of the parents do errand jobs to meet their daily needs.
The selected students will join at NAVY SCHOOL at GOA tomorrow 22nd July. At the NAVY SCHOOL these students will be groomed to represent India in National and International Championships, besides providing them School and College Education and subsequently absorbing them into INDIAN NAVY Service.
A grand reception organized for the selected students at TMREIS Head Office.
Sri B. Shafiullah, IFS., Secretary TMREIS while seeing off the students urged them to earn good name for themselves, for TMREIS and for Telangana State and to become role model for TMR Students to follow their footsteps. He expressed his best wishes and endeavour to the outgoing student.
The achievement of above two TMR students is one more chapter in the success stories of TMREIS in such short span of time, he added.
TMREIS is a society which was started to provide high quality and free education to children of most economically backward minorities communities in the state.
According to Binod Kumar, the chief coach of Navy sailing team, these boys will also be trained for Olympics. These prodigies are trained in sailing at the Yacht Club of Hyderabad
