Two President’s Police Medal for distinguished services and 14 police medal for Punjab police

Chandigarh, August 14: S.K. Sharma, ADGP, HRD and Community Policing, Chandigarh, Punjab and Narinder Sharma, ADGP, Internal Vigilance Cell and Human Rights have been conferred President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service on the occasion of Independence Day 2012.

Disclosing this here today, an official spokesman said that 14 other Punjab Police officer/official including Neeraja Voruvuru, DIG, Economic Offences Wing, Vigilance Bureau, Chandigarh, Punjab, Rajpal Singh Sandhu, SSP, Batala, Mr. Gurpreet Singh Gill, SSP, Patiala, Daljit Singh, SP, Patiala City, Harjit Singh Pannu, SP/D, Ludhiana (Rural), Rakesh Kumar Kaushal, AIG, SSG, Chandigarh and Commandant 4th Commando Battalion, Mohali, Sulakhan Singh, DSP (D), Ferozepur, Amarjit Singh Ghuman, DSP, Payal, Police District Khanna, Darshan Singh Sandhu, DSP (D), Bathinda, Ajit Singh, Inspector, SO to DGP, Prisons, Punjab, Dilbagh Singh, Hony. Inspector, MRS, PPA, Phillaur, Samsher Singh, SI, Intelligence Hqrs, Chandigarh, Punjab, Paramjit Singh, SI, Reader to Commissioner Police, Ludhiana, Punjab and Resham Singh, SI, Security Wing, Chandigarh, Punjab have been conferred Police Medal for meritorious service.Similarly, Garib Dass, DSP, HC Gursharan Singh, Ct. Thaman Singh, Ct. Satnam Singh, Late HC Sawinder Singh (Posthumously) and Late Ct. Narinder Singh (Posthumously) have been conferred Police Medal for Gallantry on the occasion of Independence Day.
