Ferozepur, April 3, 2017: The alert sleuths of BSF belonging to 137 battalion seized two Pakistani boats near border out post (BoP) Dona Telu Mal in Ferozepur sector. As per the information available, BSF personnel observed some suspicious movement in the stream of Sutlej river near border pillar number 193, around 300 meter away from the international boundary. The BSF jawans challenged and fired one round in the air. Meanwhile, all the persons left the boat and managed to escape. When searched, two boats carrying around 400 Kg fish along with two fishing nets were recovered.
The BSF officials said that these boats could have come from the other side and may belong to some Pakistani fisherman. “However, taking no chance we are investigating into it”, said an official of BSF.
