Two annual increment of agriculture officer stopped for indiscipline

Chandigarh, May 14, 2014: The Punjab government has stopped the benefit of two annual increments to Gurmukh Singh, Agriculture Development Officer for the charges of indiscipline and his absence from the post for uncertain reasons. The punishment has been slapped under section 8 of Punjab civil services (punishment and appeal) Act, 1970.
Disclosing this here today an official spokesperson of the agriculture department said that during a departmental inquiry Gurmukh Singh, ADO has been found guilty of indiscipline and non compliance of the departmental orders. He said that this officer remained absent illegally from 3.06.2010 from his post. Manmohan Huria, IAS (retd.) was the inquiry officer in this case.
