TV School Foundation engaged in providing quality education to students
Ludhiana, November 4, 2019: TV School Foundation is a charitable organization, engaged in providing quality education to students belonging to marginalized sections of society and of rural background through free channel No.279 on Fastway cable network and also through Android APP, Pen Drives as well as via YouTube. Stating this here today at a press conference Prof. Santokh Singh Aujla, the Managing Director of the foundation, added that at present the foundation is engaged in imparting instructions in Science subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) and English, to the students of 9th to 12th standard, apart from teaching Accountancy to +1 and +2 students and providing coaching to IELTS. The celebrated Punjabi Poets Dr.Surjit Patar and Prof.Gurbhajan Gill and the noted lawyer Harish Rai Dhanda were also present at the press conference. According to Prof.Aujla the students who were taught by the TV School Foundation through its various tools have performed very well in their board examination and their satisfaction level is 100%. Dr.Surjit Patar stressed upon the importance of education in society. According to him education significantly improves the overall scenario, outlook and complexion of the society in which we live and operate and also generates a quality workforce who can understand better, perform better and act better. He lauded the efforts of TV School Foundation for using bilingual method based upon mixing English with Punjabi in imparting instructions to students. Expressing his views Advocate Harish Rai Dhanda revealed that with spread of education, the individual conduct becomes more lawful and rational, output from fields and industry gets increased, more per capita income is generated and the general health of citizenry gets improved. Prof.Gurbhajan Gill emphasized upon the need for building up a public movement for making education available to each household in Punjab and he invited various institutions, organizations and individuals to be a part of this movement. According to him the 550th Birth Anniversary year would be the best time to build up such a movement. Prof. Santokh Singh Aujla used this opportunity of press Conference in elaborating the future plans of TV School Foundation. He offered to make available in just Rs.1000 per month, education to each student of 9th to 12th standard of a complete village/Municipal ward through regularly updated Mobile App. Apart from this he announced opening up of “Guru Nanak Education Centers”, devoted to 550th Birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Sahib in each village which opts for it, where each student of the whole village will be able to study after his school hours. According to him the initial expenditure on such centers would be around Rs.1 lakh while the continuing expenditure would be around 50,000 per annum. He claimed that such centers would serve as viable alternatives to the traditional tuition/coaching centers and would be very cost effective (almost free). He offered to provide free IELTS coaching in all such villages which opt for opening of such centers. According to Prof.Aujla the Members of Parliament can use their MP Lad Funds for opening such centers which shall indeed be a worthwhile expenditure and a positive contribution in the field of Education.
