Jalandhar, August 2, 2017: Falcons of the Flaming Arrow Brigade successfully completed an arduous trek of 210 Km in nine days from SUMDO over the formidable Rohtang LA, between 05 July and 01 August and were flagged in by Lt Gen BS Sahrawat, General Officer Commanding, Vajra Corps.
The Corps Commander congratulated the team for the effort and reaffirmed the aim of the Vajra Corps to foster the spirit of adventure in its personnel by encouraging more such activities. On July 05, the team departed from Amritsar, after being flagged off by Commander of the Flaming Arrow Brigade.
The trek covered a total distance of 210 Km at altitude varying between 10,000 and 14,500 feet. All the members of the team, hailing from different parts of the country, got an opportunity to get a first hand look at the unique terrain and an insight into hardships being endured by sparse population.
