Tree Plantation Drive at GH -10, PU

Chandigarh, July 24, 2019: The Horticulture Division organised a plantation drive today in front of Girls Hostel no. 10. Prof.Karamjeet Singh, Registrar, Panjab University graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Prof.Emanual Nahar, Dean Student Welfare, Dr.Archana Chauhan, Warden, Girls Hostel No.10, Renuka Salwan, Director Public Relations and other eminent persons of Panjab University also attended the function.

About 60 nos. saplings of Cassia Javanica donated by Jatin Salwan were planted. He had donated similar no. of plants last year also.

The Registrar appreciated the efforts of Horticulture Division and Salwan for their contribution towards environment.

Er.Anil Thakur, Divisional Engineer (Hort.) said on this occasion that the Horticulture Division has been organizing such plantation drives since the onset of monsoon season and will continue for next few months under the able guidance and patronage of Prof.Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor, Panjab University.
