Ludhiana, November 19, 2014: The 28th national level training course on “Advances in Resource Conservation Technologies for Soil, Water and Crop Productivity” concluded at the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU). The Department of Soil Science, PAU organised the three-week course under the aegis of Centre of Advanced Faculty Training (CAFT), Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). As many as 25 participants from different ICAR institutes and state agricultural universities participated in the course.
In his address, the Chief Guest, Dr H. S. This has further resulted in degradation of natural resources.” He said that the present scenario underlines a need for sincere efforts to evolve sound resource conservation technologies to sustain soil quality and crop productivity. Applauding the research accomplishments of the department, he said that the Soil Science Department has produced many stalwarts to lead the agriculture research at the national level.
Dr H.S.
