TRAINING COURSE FOR J&K FARMERS BEGINS AT PAU

Ludhiana, January 2, 2018: In all, 70 farmers from Jammu and Kashmir are participating in the three-day training course, which kicked off at the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) today.

In his inaugural remarks, Dr Ashok Kumar, Director of Extension Education, PAU, who was the chief guest, urged the farmers to practice scientific farming for generating good income.

The Course Coordinator, Dr T.S.Riar said the trainees would be educated about crop production, horticulture, vegetable cultivation, disease and insect-pest management in various crops, agro-forestry, mushroom growing, beekeeping, animal husbandry and other subsidiary occupations.

On the occasion, heads of various departments were present.
