Dharamshala, November 28, 2012: “The confirmed reports coming out of Tibet, say that in another fiery protest against the Chinese government’s repressive rule in Tibet, an 18 year old Tibetan teenager died on November 27after setting himself on fire around 11 pm (local time) in Sangkhog, Labrang in north-eastern Tibet,” said Lobsang an official of Tibetan Government-in-exile here on Wednesday.
Earlier also on Tuesday ,Kalsang Kyab, 24, Tibetan nomad poured petrol on himselfand died after setting fire to himself in north-eastern Tibet .
The Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) intimated that it was the second self-immolation of the day. Six self-immolations in the last three days have pushed the number of Tibetan self-immolators to 87 inside Tibet, since the wave of fiery protests began in 2009. The recent alarming escalation in the protests has now witnessed 25 Tibetans set themselves on fire in the month of November alone, demanding freedom and the return of His Holiness the Dalai Lama from exile.
