Chandigarh, March 30, 2016: Those who compare Kanhaiya with Bhagat Singh would not know what nationalism is, said BJP spokesperson Dr Sambit Patra on the JNU episode.
Dr.Patra was speaking on a seminar on the ‘National Security Threats in India 2020’ organised by Bhagat Singh Kranti Sena Foundation and Citizen 4 Forces at Law Bhavan in Sector 37, on Wednesday.
Taking a dig on the Congress, Dr Patra said, “Sonia Gandhi getting disturbed after seeing bodies of terrorists in Batla House encounter only shows the kind of nationalism Congress believes in”.
The JNU issue was taken up elaborately in the seminar where the speakers also accused leaders of Congress and left parties for supporting JNU Students Union leaders including Kanhaiya Kumar and other for raising anti-national slogans and organising function to observe the death anniversary of a terrorist Afal Guru.
He said the Modi government was committed to provide external security to the citizens.
Giving solution of the problem, He said, “India is globally known for spiritualism and we have to fight with the internal security threats with spiritual powers”. He also appealed the youth to be ready for any sacrifice for their mother land.
On the internal security Dr. Patra said, ‘mother’s womb’ is the biggest example of the internal security. He said the internal security could not be provided by the government having an attitude of ‘hide and seek’ or opting double standards.
Maj Gen. (retd.) GD Bakshi, defence expert, Dr Sambit Patra, spokesperson of the BJP, Col. RSN Singh, former RAW chief, Dinesh Kumar, BJP leader, Vineet Joshi, Asststant Media Advisor to Punjab Government, Aditya Shankar, a Supreme Court lawyer, Rajat Gautam, chairman of Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh Bar Council, and some other prominent personalities shared their experiences and suggested the solutions.
Punjab Finance Minister Parminder Singh Dhindsa, was the chief guest while Dr Sambit Patra, Maj Gen. (retd.) GD Bakshi and Col. RSN Singh were the key speakers.
Col. RSN Singh, said that proxy war was a new challenge before the country. “So called intellectual (who study in foreign educational institutions) have been misleading our youth on ‘ism’. To get rid of the internal security threats the youth must do away with this ‘ism’.
He advised the youngsters to be attached their roots. There is no development without peace, he said.
By sharing his experience in the defence, Maj Gen. (retd.) GD Bakshi charged the youths with patriotism and challenged Pakistan not even to dare eyeing Kashmir. He said, “ Do not disturb us or you have to bear.”
After facing defeat every war, now Pakistan has opted another way (pushing in terrorism) to sneak into Indian terror.
He said that Pakistan has launched assault on young mind, heart and psychology.
Vineet Joshi said that internal security has come under a threat due to the vanishing moral and moral values among youth. Un-cultured and anti-national youths are serious threats to inter security. Moreover, lack if ideal parenting also adding to this, he added.
Besides prominent personalities of the city Saurabh Joshi, a Municipal Councillor, Lekh Raj, former Chairman of Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh Bar Council, Raman Mahajan, of Citizen 4 Forces, and Akshay Bansal of Bhagat Singh Kranti Sena Foundation, were also present on the occasion.
