Thoroughly renovated Clinical Laboratory at Bhai Ghanaiya Ji Institute of Health, Panjab University inaugurated

Chandigarh, November 16, 2016: The thoroughly renovated Clinical Laboratory at Bhai Ghanaiya Ji Institute of Health, Panjab University (PU) was inaugurated today by the PU Vice Chancellor (VC), Professor Arun Kumar Grover.
Former PU VC Professor RP Bambah, former PU VC Prof MM Puri, Professor S.V.Kessar, PUTA President Professor Mrs Promilla Pathak, Chief Medical Officer Dr Devinder Dhawan, other dignitaries and family members of Professor S.V. Kessar were
also present on the occasion.
The Professor S.V.Kessar and his family has donated Rs two Lac fifty thousands for the noble cause in the loving memory of Prof Kessar’s wife Late Professor Urmi Kesar, who was Professor at the Department of Arts History and Visual Arts at PU.
The renovated clinical laboratory will have dust free, clean, and infection free environment both for the benefit of our patients and the staff working at the laboratory. The movement of the patients will be greatly facilitated and the
laboratory technicians will have ample and separate working space. The regular maintenance of the working area will be far better, hassle free and much cleaner.
Two more laboratory gadgets, one Automatic cell Counter and the other Automatic BioChemistry Analyzer will be shortly added to the present equipment, costing about Rs Fifteen Lacs. All this will further augment the number and quality of tests
performed.
