NEW YORK, October 5, 2016 – CPA Practice Advisor has recognized Lauren B. Kovar, CPA, CITP, CGMA and Robert Sledz, JD, LLM on its inaugural “20 Under 40” list honoring “Supporting Stars” who are shaping the future of the accounting industry from the outside as part of its annual “40 Under 40” issue.

The magazine characterizes its list as the best and brightest talent in the accounting profession, honoring those “helping [to] advance the profession through their roles in technology, education, consulting and firm development.”

Lauren B. Kovar, CPA, CITP, CGMA is an expert in accounting transformation, tax technology strategy and finance improvement. In her current role as the Director of Client Advisory & Strategy for Thomson Reuters Tax & Accounting Professional Services, she advises Fortune 1000 companies on leading practices for tax operations and technology. Her expertise covers the broad landscape of tax and beyond to areas of general process automation and data management. Lauren is currently the Chair of the AICPA’s Tax Information and Operations Task Force, and a member of the CITP Credential Committee.

Robert Sledz, J.D., LL.M. is an international tax editor/author with the Thomson Reuters Tax & Accounting business, with a focus on the OECD Base Erosion and Profits Shifting (BEPS) project. He holds a J.D. degree from the Syracuse University College of Law, and an LL.M. in Taxation from the Georgetown University Law Center. Robert is a member of the New York, New Jersey, and District of Columbia bars, and has general knowledge of recent corporate and individual tax developments in Europe and the Americas from his previous tax publishing work.
