New Delhi, April 4, 2016 – TEDxWalledCity Salon will take place on 5th April, 2016 at O.P.Jindal Global University, NCR, from 7:30PM to 10:00PM. The independently organized event, licensed by TED, will feature local voices and TED Talks videos under the theme of Urban Habitats.

Launched in 2009, TEDx is program of locally organized events that bring the community together to share a TED-like experience. Some of the best talks from TEDx events have gone on to be featured on TED.com and garnered millions of views from audiences across the globe.

TEDxWalledCity Salon will focus on Urban Habitats. How design, communication and our activism lends to the design of our cities and communities. The talks are in the context of climate change at a micro level, where each one is a participant.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.

“TEDxWalledCity is a focused, intimate and relatable setting where people who are deeply interested in ideas that can define our future, change the way we think and have an impact on the world get together to share their brain-trust. It brings together creative and forward thinking young people from India that are as fascinating and accomplished as the speakers themselves”, says Gaurav Gupta, Curator, Licensee and TEDx Ambassador.
