Pune based startup raises money to 1Crowd– a unique equity crowd funding platform
ProximiT, a Pune based start-up, has raised Rs. 1 crore (c.USD 150,000) in early stage funding via 1Crowd, a unique crowd funding platform launched late last year.
ProximiT has installed tablets in auto-rickshaws in Pune and has created an innovative platform that provides a differentiated Brand-Customer engagement experience. These auto-rickshaws provide an ideal medium for corporates to target and engage with the passengers, via this novel platform that allows for direct interaction between brand and customer. The funds will be used to expand their footprint in Pune and other cities.
Mr. Abhay Bora – Founder & Managing Director, ProximiT: “The Indian start-up ecosystem continues to expand and break new ground, with crowd funding becoming a viable alternative to conventional sources of capital. ProximiT is an exciting start-up in the digital media space that has benefited from the platform and network that 1Crowd has created in raising capital very efficiently. 1Crowd has co-invested alongside its investor members.” said Anil Gudibande, Co-founder of 1Crowd.
What differentiates 1Crowd from others is their unique ecosystem that has been built around “commoditized” fundraising. Currently, with more than 250 investors and 30+ distinguished mentors, the team of professionals at 1Crowd have adopted a systematic and disciplined approach to originate, screen, present and manage investments in start-ups and provide investors a unique opportunity to participate in the Indian start-up market.
