Chandigarh, February 6, 2014: The four Kashmiri girls of Aryans College of Engineering who developed “Aryans Android App” were felicitated by Madan Mohan Mittal, Technical Education Minister, Punjab today in Chandigarh.

Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges was also present on the occasion.
Mittal congratulated these girls- Rumaisa, Zeenat, Sadiya and Yusra for their achievement and applauded their efforts of this initiative.  Mittal said that through this innovative development, these girls have added glory to the name of not only their own state- J&K but also to their College and Punjab where they are studying.
Mittal said that Government will do every possible effort to make Punjab as destination of Education not only for the students of Punjab but also for the students of other states of India and other Countries too. He added that efforts will be done to provide suitable environment for academics, sports, cultural and other curricular activities to the students studying in various colleges of Punjab.
Pleased with the blessings of the Minister, the girls said that they are very happy being appreciated by Minister himself. While interacting with Mittal, the girls told that being at Aryans, they never feel like they are away from their homes. They get a very comfortable and learning environment in their College Campus and outside campus in Punjab which itself motivated them for such an innovation.
It is to be mentioned that these 4 girls recently developed an Android App with the help of their faculty members and technical experts within a period of 1 month. The idea for this innovation generated from the problem of non receiving of the College messages when they are at home due to ban on SMS in J&K. This App where on one hand will solve their problem of non-receiving of messages. On other hand, will help the College to become paper free campus.// punjab news live, punjab news online, punjab news, punjab news headlines, punjab breaking news, india news, punjab news, world news,
