Technical Education Minister Channi released the admission brochure 2017-18 of IKG PTU

Appreciated the newly built infrastructure of university, said- PTU will be the model university of this country
Jalandhar, June 7, 2017: I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University has become the first choice of top ranking students in the field of Technical Higher Education. The inquiries of top ranking students are increasing day by day regarding the admission in the university campus. This is because of the newly developed infrastructure of the university with cost of 250 crore rupees and more than 80 Ph.D. faculty members.

Technical Education Minister Charanjit Singh Channi released the campus admission brochure of university for year 2017-18. On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Channi said that IKG PTU will be established as the model technical university of this country. The University administration is working for making the syllabus of the university at par with the IIT’s and infrastructure worth Rupees 250 crores has already been developed and more than 80 Ph.D. faculty members are on rolls of university. He said that the university is offering Chief Minister Scholarship Scheme for its campus students and topper students have been granted up to full fee concession too.

University spokesperson said that keeping in view the interest of the toppers, entrance test for 6 courses will be held for admission in the main campus of the university. These courses are M.B.A., M.Sc. (Chemistry), (Physics), (Mathematics), (Food Science and Technology) and M.A. (Journalism and Mass Communication). The admission in B.Tech., B. Urban Planning, B. Architecture, M. Architecture and M.Tech. is already going on through centralized online counseling.
