SWC celebrates Bhagat Singh's birthday

Ferozeur, September 28, 2012 :  The members of Streamline Welfare Society (SWC), Ferozepur today celebrated the birthday of martyr Shaheed Bhagat Singh at his Samadhi at Hussaniwala by garlanding the statues of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev and at the samadhi of Punjab Mata, mother of Bhagat Singh.

Speaking on the occasion, Subhash Chander, member of the society, who has made in depth study on the life of Bhagat Singh, highlighted the life style and his total commitment towards the freedom of India movement.

Few couplets written by one of the associate of Bhagat Singh, Ram Nath Saathi, a freedom fighter - Keh Do Angrez Se Ja Kar, Utha Le Woh Bistar Apna, Sahil-e-Hind Se Utha Le Woh Lashkar Apna" by Harish Kumar.

Dewan Chand Sukhija said that SWC is going to complete its 100 projects since its inception and the celebration of martyr's birthday will be a regular feature of the society.  He further said that they should maintain the independence given to them by the various leaders and the  sacrifice of Bhagat Singh and his associates cannot be forgotten for years to come.
