Sushil Kaura Elected Chairman To Wool & Woollens Export Promotion Council

Ludhiana, March 31, 2016: Shri Sushil Kaura, Patron, Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU), Ludhiana and Managing Partner of M/s Camel Knitting & Textiles Mills, Ludhiana unanimously elected as the Chairman of Wool & Woollens Export Promotion Council in its election meeting held in Ludhiana on March 30.

Shri Avtar Singh President CICU assured the Woollen Industry on one hand and GoI on the other, that he would strive hard to promote export of Wool & Wool Blended Products and extend his full cooperation in this regard.

Shri Upkar Singh Ahuja General Secretary CICU said that Shri Kaura is a long Standing Member of Committee of Administration of the WWEPC.

Mr. Kaura established Camel Knitting & Textiles Mills in 1965 and started with making hosiery products like knitwear, t-shirts, readymade garments. Soon the company became an exporter and started supplying to hosiery goods around the world. Having worked up from the grassroots level to the heights that the company has achieved today Mr. Kaura has ample experience with the workings of the industry. He is constantly on various committees and advisory boards responsible for upgrades of the hosiery sector.

The meeting was also attended by Smt. Geeta Narayanan, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India and Shri M.S Dhillon, Regional Joint Director General of Foreign Trade, Govt. of India, Ministry of Commerce.
