Summer Champs 2016, the annual event of KORUM organized under the theme ‘Pirates invade KORUM’ was the kid’s destination of choice over the weekend as they danced, played and enjoyed the various activities and skits based on the theme at the life size pirate ship of 32 feet (width) stationed at the mall.
Thane: All hands hoay!! Thane’s friendliest mall has arranged an array of exciting games and activities for kids during their vacations. Living up to every years exciting themes, this year too KORUM Mall has kept the spirit alive with PIRATES as the theme for Summer Champs by creating a life size PIRATE SHIP which is 32 feet in width and filled with exhilarating games & activities for kids. The SUMMER CHAMPS 2016 started on April 27, 2016 & will conclude with a grand finale on May 15, 2016.
This year’s theme being Pirates to invade KORUM MALL, we will see kids as young as 6 year old getting into their favorite movie character & invading KORUM. Two lucky winners will ultimately become the Pirates of KORUM & will win 1 year of school tuition fees as scholarship.
The SUMMER CHAMPS will be organized for two different age groups: 6 to 10 & 11 to 14 years. This will include various edutainment activities like sword fight, jumbo pirate map puzzles, feed the pirate and ring the hook games, face painting, sand sculpting, and crafts with pirate props, storytelling sessions, bottle art and many other activities. The parameters on which the kids will be tested are intelligence, strength, agility and talent following which they will qualify for the grand finale.
Speaking about the SUMMER CHAMPS, Mr.Gaurav Kumavat, Centre Head, KORUM mall said, “Summer Champs has been one important program through which we attempt to get the best out of the kids by testing their intelligence, creativity and talent. The huge response received every year from thousands of children instills our confidence in the uniqueness of the program. We are sure; children and their parents alike would love this year’s theme of pirates invading KORUM and would participate in the different activities with enthusiasm and excitement.”
The mall atrium will make kids feel like a true pirate and get into the skin of the character with creative pirate hangings which will include shop wheel, treasure box, flags, birds, etc. We invite kids to participate in this unique event that will help them learn while having fun.
