Chandigarh, October 8, 2012: The Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today felicitated the people of Punjab on the eve of Parkash Purab of the fourth Guru of the Sikhs Sri Guru Ram Dass.
In a message, the Deputy Chief Minister said that Guru Ram Dass inspired to live a life of compassion, humility, integrity and service to humankind. He was instrumental in building of the Golden Temple in Amritsar, considered to be the most sacred shrine of the Sikhs worldwide.
Calling upon people to follow the teachings of Guru Ram Dass, Badal said that they have to work collectively to realise the society envisioned by Guru Ji.
