Students visit Chattbir Zoo
Mohali, November 27, 2019: Indus Public School organized Wild life protection day by Junior Wing. Students were fully engrossed in different in different types of activities. They wrote meaningful slogan about endangered species. Then Speech competition were organised .Tigers should be saved was one of the main topic of the day. Students participated in poster making competition; collage making competition with the theme Endangered, Extinct and vulnerable species like should be protected citizens. Later, message was given that natural habitat of animals should not be spoiled. Students also visited Chattbir Zoo. On arrival at the Zoo, the teachers led their classes to the different cages. The students enthusiastically observed the majestic animals and birds. They were delighted to see wide varieties of flora and fauna. This helped to revise the concepts and sounds taught in the class. While giving information about famous zoological park The Director of the school Col. C S Cheema & Col. S.P.S Cheema CEO Said that Chattbir Zoo houses hundreds of different mammals, birds and reptiles. One of the major attractions of Chattbir Zoo near Chandigarh is the lion safari & Royal Bengal tiger. Principal of the school Parampreet Kaur said at the moment that the excursion proved out to be an outdoor classroom for the students as they were able to accommodate and assimilate knowledge.
