Jalandhar, February 17, 2015: The students of Lyallpur Khalsa College have won for Guru Nanak Dev University the overall fine arts trophy in the 30th All India Intervarsity Youth Festival organised in Devi Ahilya Bai University Indore.
The college Principal Dr.Gurpinder Singh Samra informed that the university team chiefly consisted of students of Lyallpur Khalsa College and it also won first positions in Cartooning, Clay Modelling and Rangoli, second positions in Western Solo Song and fourth positions in One Act Play and Installation. In this mega event involving participation of 76 universities, Guru Nanak Dev University won the runners up trophy.
Dr. Samra congratulated the College ECA Dean Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu, Director Cultural Affairs Dr. Arun Mishra, Theatre Incharge Prof. Harpreet Kaur, Fine Arts Incharge Prof. Jatinder Singh and other teachers incharge of respective teams.
