Chandigarh, December 16, 2015: Ashiana Public School celebrated its Annual Day with great zeal and fervor. The event commenced with invocation to God followed by classical dance performance and display of beautiful notes created by the school’s Orchestra group. The cultural extravaganza comprised of a rich amalgamation of enthralling music, dance and drama performances.
 
The students of Kindergarten were indulged in array of scintillating performances such as singing, dance and enactment of theme based skits such as ‘Seasons’, ‘The World of fairy tales’, ‘Festival Fervor’ etc which were much appreciated and enjoyed by the audience. The students of the senior wing displayed their talents in variety of performances such as ‘Techno Tadka’- a play meticulously staged by senior wing, provided an insight into our dependence on technology and also gave a lesson to use technology as a tool and not as a replacement of meaningful people in our lives. ‘Unity-The Nation’s pride’, ‘The Wit of Akbar and Birbal’ captivated the audience and proved to be an intellectual retreat.
 
‘Baingan ki Barat’ another play did an exceptional display in bringing smiles to the audiences’ faces. An artistic and marvelous display of skill was observed in presentation of plays based on life story of Gautam Buddha titled-‘ Buddha-The Enlightened One’ and ‘The Legend of Bhagat Singh’ which enchanted and captivated the audience. In addition to this ,fascination took over the stage with presentation of the play ‘Bollywood Journey’,’Sur sangam’, ‘Chinese Chimes’ etc. The School Director, Mrs. Lalita Prakash, a seasoned scholar and a navigator of the flagship of knowledge shared her valuable words with the audience which enriched each and every mind.
 
The event concluded with the school anthem presented by the choir group of Ashiana which spoke volumes of the school’s motto, values and education. Parents and visitors appreciated the efforts, hardwork, determination and dedication put in by the children and the staff. The programme proved to be a grand success.
