Students of Apeejay College of Fine Arts bag first and second position in Inter College Painting Competition

Jalandhar, November 26, 2016: In the Painting Competition organised on the occasion of the 47th Foundation Day of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, the students of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar bagged both first and second position. It is noteworthy that 20 students from various colleges participated in the competition. Gurwinder Singh, a student of Apeejay College of Fine Arts won the first prize which included a cash prize of Rs. 5000. Second position was bagged by Divesh Kumar who won a cash prize of Rs. 3000.
Principal Dr. Sucharita congratulated the students on this achievement and opined that the students of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar are the young ambassadors of Indian art and culture. In their hands, our art and heritage will be in safe hands.
