Gurugram: Students of Blue Bells Public School, Sector 10, organized a Street Play at DLF Cyber Hub. The aim of the street play was to spread awareness regarding the importance of suffrage amongst the people. They were informed to form their opinion rather than being guided by others.
The theme of the Play was “We have the power and we deserve to get the best governance”. It was divided into 3 parts. The first part portrays a family conveying the message ‘importance of voting’. Second part conveys the importance of voting with the colleagues. Last part conveys how youth can change the future of the country
“I am glad that our students are taking initiatives to aware people about the importance of voting. It’s important for the future of our country that the youngsters should actively participate in the electoral process. Full participation will bring about a change which will be good for the country,” said Saroj Suman Gulati, Director, Blue bells Group of Schools
Mr Atul Atri, Centre Head, DLF CYBERHUB shares, “The need of the hour is to encourage dialogue and discussions to address the importance of voting across the nation. Our efforts at DLF are always skewed towards becoming a springboard to bring positive change in society. Therefore, through this collective initiative, we intend to encourage the younger as well as the older generation to choose the right leadership for India by Voting”
One of the visitors appreciated the initiative taken by School “I am very happy to see the young generation encouraging the elders to come out and vote. It is very important to understand the importance of choosing the right government for the future. The progress of our nation also depends upon choosing the right leader who can take it forward.”
The elections are coming and voting is a fundamental right of any citizen that enables them to choose the leaders of tomorrow. In many countries, the minimum age for voting is 18 years. Voting not only enables the citizens to vote for political parties, but it also helps them to realize the importance of citizenship. Many people do not vote thinking one vote will not make a change, but as a matter of fact, it does. A nation’s political foundations are built using elections.
