Chandigarh, November 2, 2015: More than 1,500 women players would participate in State Level Women Sports Competition to be organized at Dronacharya Stadium, Kurukshetra from November 6 to 8, 2015.
While giving this information here today, an official spokesman said that Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Mr. Krishan Kumar would inaugurate the competition whereas MLA Thanesar, Mr. Subhash Sudha would be the Chief Guest in the concluding ceremony.
He said that women players up to 25 years of age from all districts would participate in this sports competition. He said that various events, including athletics, kho-kho, basketball, kabaddi, swimming and gymnastics. As many as 11 committees have been constituted for organizing the competition, he added. / (SK Vyas, Jalandhar)
