State level tournament concludes in Khalsa College

Jalandhar, November 22, 2017: State level sports competitions concluded in Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar today. In
this event organized by the State Government, the College Principal Dr.Gurpinder Singh Samra acted as the chief guest. In this tournament Basketball, Football and Kabaddi matches were held for Under- 17 level Girls teams on 20, 21 and 22 November in which the first place was won by Gurdaspur, the second place went to Fazilka whereas the third place was claimed by Fatehgarh Sahib and Ropar collectively. Awarding the prizes, the chief guest Dr Samra said that sports could contribute a lot in the overall personality development of an individual and it was necessary that one played not just to win but to play as well. He urged the players to play with Team Spirit and have fair play as their chief motivation. The occasion witnessed the presence of Dean Sports of the college Dr. SS Bains, coaches and staff members.
