Star Hotel Dining Experience for Orphans
Spouses of Freemasons and IBIS Hotel Hyderabad Chefs showered ‘Motherly Love’ on Orphans; Make snacks and memories
Hyderabad, May 11, 2019: Mother’s Day so far was like any other day for these twenty orphan girls from Cherish Home from Kismathpur, Rajendranagar in Hyderabad city. But, this Mother’s Day was different for them. The twenty orphan girls, all under 15 years, indulged in love and luxury on Mother’s Day thanks to an initiative of Freemasons and IBIS Hotel Hyderabad. The event was organized as part of “Silver Jubilee Celebrations of Lodge Keys No. 297” and its theme “Be the Reason Someone Smiles”.
IBIS Hotel Hyderabad, an international hotel chain owned by Accor Hotels and Lodge Keys No. 297, a primary unit of Global Organization Freemasonry got together to make this day different to the girls. Jointly these two organizations with the support from many likeminded individuals and organisations organized the “Star Hotel Dining Experience” for these less fortunate children on Saturday evening at IBIS Hotel, Madhapur here in the city.
The Orphan children brought in cars from Rajendranagar. On arrival, IBIS reception team extended them the traditional welcome and treated them with welcome drinks.
Then they interacted with Lodge Keys members, their spouses, guests, IBIS Hotel Staff.The guests and the parentless kids were taken on a tour of the hotel. The hotel staff accompanied by Lodge Keys members explained to the little angels how the star hotel functions. After the trip, a light entertainment program was held for them. A magic show was also performed to entertain them.
The mothers who had already assembled were divided into three teams and grouped with the Chefs of IBIS Hotel Hyderabad to prepare evening snacks for the kids.
Savithri, Sunitha, Sudha, Kalpana, Madhavi, Tuhina, Mrs. Raghu Raj, Jyothi, Vishala, Meenal, Uma Swaminathan, Radhika, Raki, Mrs. Vidhyakar… all together twenty mothers who are spouses of Freemasons got together with Chefs of IBIS Hotel and prepared food items. The orphan kids were treated to Welcome Drink, Sweet Lassi, Mini Veg Burgers, Creamy Pasta with Vegetables, Pineapple Cake. The Masonic dignitaries Assistant Regional Grand Masters, Regional Grand Lodge of Southern India Mr. Praful K Sahgal, Mr. S. Janaradhan, Mr. John Zacharia; and G. Ashok Kumar, Worshipful Master, Lodge Keys No. 297 graced the occasion.

We left no stone unturned to roll out the red carpet for orphans on Mother’s Day”, informed Mr. Rubin Cherian, General Manager of IBIS Hyderabad. IBIS is committed for the noble cause like this one. It is a feel-good factor for these less fortunate girls as well as all those who associated with the event, he said.

Freemasons and IBIS Hotel Hyderabad gave orphans a five-star treatment. Our theme for this year is “Be the Reason Someone Smiles” informed G. Ashok, Worshipful Master, the head of the Lodge Keys No. 297.
This is an event where members of Freemasonry, the fraternal organization showed their ‘maternal’ side and celebrated Mother’s Day with orphans, said D.Ramchandram, Secretary, Lodge Keys No. 297.
