Ferozepur, May 28, 2019: With an aim to make railway staff aware about safety aspects, check their health condition, resolve their grievance and educate them regarding their entitlements, a “Staff Mela” was organized by the Ferozepur Railway Division.
More than 300 railway staff attended the mela in which separate kiosk to deal with health checkup, disease awareness, family planning, safety, SBF, grievance, entitlements, DAR, sexual harassment and settlement issues were setup.
On this occasion, the newly appointed DRM Rajesh Aggarwal launched a book of Personnel Department. The DRM said that the book contains several day to day queries of the staff and has been made in simple language.
To make the event more interesting, capsules of cultural events were inserted after every one hour during the progamme. Two nukkad natak on safety and cleanliness were also organized during the mela. On this occasion, the DRM said that personal safety should be the top agenda of all the railway staff. Safety of the railway and its passengers cannot be insured without a motivated and satisfied workforce”, he said.
The DRM said that the event will be followed by several such “Staff Melas” in the coming months at different locations of the division.
