OPA conducted on the spot painting contest amongst the 9th and 10th class students of the Government Senior Secondary School, Mundian Kalan, Ludhiana, to create awareness about ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’.

Ludhiana, April 28, 2018: OPA organized the on the spot painting contest for the students of Government Senior Secondary School, Mundian Kalan, Ludhiana. The theme of the painting contest was ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ and about 200 students from 9thand 10th standard took part in this competition.
Giving details about the project, Mr.Arjun Pandit, project director said the purpose of this contest is to bring awareness amongst the younger generation towards ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ launched by the hon’ble prime minister of India. India is now the country with highest number of young population, it is therefore necessary to guide the younger generation about the protection of environment and for the cleanliness of the surroundings.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr.Parveen Aggarwal, President of Offset Printers Association said, OPA is always at the front foot to create awareness about protection of environment. Though OPA is a technical association but we consider it our social responsibility to educate the youth how to make India world leader. Because they are the persons who are the torch bearers for tomorrow.
Prof.Kamal Chopra, General Secretary of OPA congratulated the winners of the competition and said, I am happy to see the talented students of the school, and would be thankful to the Principal Shri Gurcharan Singh and Chief Coordinator of the school Shri Amandeep Singh for providing us the opportunity to be here today. Prof. Chopra added that it is only due to the dedicated leadership of these two persons that this school is shining like a bright star.
Miss AlkaKumari of Class IX was declared the winner of the spot painting contest and was presented a bicycle by Mr. Parveen Aggarwal, President OPA. Miss Neelam and Miss MuskanTripathi both from class 9th were awarded the consolation prizes. Other members of team OPA presented on the occasion were Mr. Arjun Pandit, Mr. Hans Raj Chopra and Mr. Nitin Malik. Besides the first prize two consolation prizes and certificate of participation to all the students were also given.
