Dharamsala, February 3, 2013: Urban Development, Town and Country Planning Minister Sudhir Sharma said that Spice Jet Airways Service between Dharamsala -Delhi would be started very shortly.
He said that technical survey has already been conducted by the experts to start this air service.
Sharma thanked the Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, who had made the sincere efforts to restart the air service on Gaggal Airport of Dharmsalsa . The air services on this airport were closed on October 1, 2012, which affected the tourism in the Kangra valley and also face the inconvenience to the Cricket lovers during the ODI in Dharamsala.
He said that services of 70 seated aero plane would be provide from Dharamsala -Chandigarh-Delhi, whereas in the peak season of the tourism, the direct air service from Delhi to Dharamsala would be made available to facilitate the tourists.
Sharma said that Airport Authority of India and Aircraft Manufacturing Company Cambodia have also submitted the feasible report of Gaggal airport to restart this air service. With the restarting of air service on Gaggal airport, tourism activities would boost up in the valley and local youths depended on tourism industry would again be benefitted , he added.
