Speedup land transfer work of Central University: DC told officials
Dharamshala, June 24, 2019: A review meeting about the progress of the work of the campus of the Central University of HP for its Jadarangal (Dhaeramshala) and Dehra campus, was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Prajapati at Dharamshala on Tuesday. Prajapati informed that about 25 hectare land has been already been transferred to the name of Central University for the establishment of North Campus in Jadrangal in Dharamsala, while transfer act of remaining 279 hectare land is ready to sent to Central Ministry of Environment and Forests for FCA clearance . Deputy Commissioner also informed that for the establishment of a South Campus in Dehra, about 35 hectare land has been transferred to the name of Central University of HP and transfer of the remaining 82 Kanal land is in process. DC Kangra Rakesh Prajapati said,” the state government is serious about starting the construction of the university very soon , for which special steps are being taken to fulfil all the formalities related to land transfer.” He instructed the officers of the concerned departments, including the Revenue Department and officials of the Central University to speed up the process of land transfer and other administrative matters and all related formalities so that the process of construction work could be started soon. The meeting was attended by ADM Dr Mast Ram Bhardwaj, SDM SK Parashar, District Revenue Officer Devi Chand, Central University's Registrar Sanjeev Sharma, Deputy Registrar Hem Raj Thakur, officials of the revenue, education and other departments.
