Ferozepur, November 16, 2014: Two mobile phones, two SIM cards and a charger were recovered from Central Jail of Ferozepur today during a search Operation by police officials.
Sukhmander Singh, ASI, Ferozepur City Police Station while giving the information said that the police had received tip off regarding the usage of mobile phones in the jail premises. Following the tip off a special team under Ajmer Singh DSP (D) raided the jail premises along with hundreds of Police officials. During the raid, huge security arrangements were made and nobody was allowed to enter or leave the jail premises.
During the checking two mobile phones were recovered lying openly, backside the barracks along with local made charger. Two SIM were recovered from two jail inmates named Satpal Singh of Village Mammu Kheda, Fazilka and Jagbir Kaur of Village Sabrana, Makhu. Both were booked under sections 88 IPC and 52-A Prisons Act (1894)
