A special lecture being organised by Sri Guru Granth Sahib Research Centre of LKC at Jalandhar on Saturday.

Jalandhar, February 7, 2015: ‘The Relevance of the teachings of Sri Guru Granth Sahib in Modern Times’ was the theme of a special lecture organised by Sri Guru Granth Sahib Research Centre of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar today.

Speaking on the occasion the chief speakerJoginder Singh Ahluwalia, the noted Sikh thinker and man of letters from the USA said that Sri Guru Granth Sahib contained guidelines for leading a righteous and morally upright life and therefore the teachings of the scripture were timeless.

In his address, the College Principal Dr. G.S. Samra said that religion taught one to live one's life in a way that resulted in the well being of the society at large and therefore its sensible following was a most drsired thing for the betterment of mankind.

The coordinator of the centre Dr. Rajwinder Pal Singh, Director, GGSC presented the vote of thanks.

The occasion was witnessed by Dr. Karamjit Singh Rai and the presence of a large number of students and staff.
