Shimla, November 2, 2016: The State level campaign for identification of eligible disabled persons has been started in all districts of the State except Lahaul-Spiti where the camps have already been organised in September, this year. The State Government is organizing special disability camps to examine maximum number of disabled so that eligible persons could be provided social security pension.
Secretary, Social Justice and Empowerment Smt. Anuradha Thakur told here today that these camps were being organised at block level for screening of persons with disability. The State government had set a goal to examine maximum number of disabled before World Disability Day on 3 December, 2016 so that all eligible persons could start getting social security pension from 1 January, 2017, she said.
She said detailed programme had been chalked out district-wise for organizing these camps in the presence of specialized doctors.
In Kangra district, this campaign had already been launched from 1 November, 2016. On 3 November, 2016 the camp would be organized at Civil Hospital Baijnath, on 4 November at Civil Hospital (CH) Nagrota Bagwan, on 8 November at CH Palampur, on 10 November at CH Dadasiba, on 11 November at PHC Tiara, on 15 November at CH Nurpur, on 17 November at CHC Bhawarna, on 18 November at CH Shahpur, on 22 November at CHC Indora, on 24 November at CHC Thural, on 25 November at CHC Nagrota Surian and on 29 November at CH Fatehpur.
In Bilaspur district, the camp would be organized at Regional Hospital Bilaspur on 4 November, at Shri Naina Devi Ji on 22 November, at Bharari on 24 November, at RH Bilaspur on 25 November and at Jehjawin on 29 November.
For Chamba district, the camps had been planned for 4 November at CH Bharmour, on 8 November at CHC Salooni, on 9 November at CH Tissa, on 22 November at CHC Choori and on 29 November at PHC Samote.
In Hamirpur district, six camps would be organized during the campaign. On 3 November at CH Sujanpur, on 10 November at CH Tauni Devi, on 17 November at CH Bhoranj, on 1 December at CHC Nadaun and on 8 December at CHC Barsar.
In Kullu district, the campaign would begin with camp at CH Manali on 16 November, at CHC Jari on 17 November, at CH Banjar on 18 November, at RH Kullu on 19 November, at CH Anni on 22 November and at CH Nirmand on 23 November.
In Sirmaur district, the camps would be organized at Dr. Y.S. PGMC Nahan on 3 November, at Paonta Sahib Hospital on 11 November, at Sarahan Hospital on 15 November, at Sangrah Hospital on 23 November and Shillai Hospital on 29 November.
In Solan district, five camps would be organized including at RH Solan on 16 November, at CH Kunihar on 19 November, at PHC Patta Mehlog on 21 November, at CH Kandaghat on 23 November and at CHC Nalagarh on 25 November.
In Shimla district, the camps would be organized at Kotkhai on 16 November, at Kumarsain on 19 November, at Tikkar on 23 November, at Rampur Bushahr on 26 November and at Chirgaon on 30 November.
For Kinnaur district, the camps have been scheduled at CHC Bhaba Nagar on 12 November, at CHC Pooh on 18 November and at CHC Sangla on 19 November.
For Una district, camps have been fixed at CHC Gagret on 9 November, at CH Amb on 16 November, at PHC Thanakalan on 23 November and at Prem Ashram, Una on 30 November.
In Mandi district, the camps would be organized at CHC Barot on 11 November, at CHC Baldwara on 17 November, at CHC Lad Bhadol on 23 November and at CH Gohar on 28 November.
Smt. Anuradha Thakur requested the disabled persons to avail this opportunity so that they could be examined and if found eligible for social security pension they would be issued identity card on the spot during this campaign.
