Speaker, Punjab Vidhan Sabha Reaches London To Attend Meeting Of The Commonwealth Parliamentary Association

Chandigarh, April 27, 2016: Dr.Charnjit Singh Atwal, Speaker, Punjab Vidhan Sabha, who is Regional Representative of the CPA India Region and Member of the International Executive Committee of the CPA, reached London to attend it's Mid Year Executive Committee Meeting to be held at the CPA Headquarters Secretariat, London U.K. from 27th to 30th of April 2016.
An official spokesman of the Government said that “The Mid Year Meeting” is held every year to review the performance and assess the progress quotients of the committees and sub committees of the CPA and also to chalk out further plans for furtherance of commonly devised plans.
The spokesman further said that Prior to this, Dr. Atwal, in a historic event organised under the aegis of Lord Loomba in association with Sri Guru Ravidas Global Organisation for Human Rights at the House of Lords, where he addressed a gathering of representatives from fifteen countries to commemorate the 125th Birth Anniversary of Dr.B.R Ambedkar. He was invited as a special Guest of Honour alongside dignitaries from various fields from across the world including Mr. Varinder Sharma, Member of Parliament, London and Lord Hussain from Luton, U.K.
