Ludhiana, December 15, 2012: On Friday, the eve of the third World Cup Kabaddi, the England Kabaddi team visited Spice Cube restaurant in Ludhiana. The English ladies enjoyed their meal while they had a good time ahead of the World Cup Finals that will be held here this evening.
The team, alongwith their coach and a fleet of policemen were seen joking around and enjoying their evening out in the city. They gladly posed for photographs as and when they were asked to.
Chef Radhey Shyam Agarwal said that the team members appreciated the food and were glad to be there.
Rosy Haigh, stopper, said that they had lots of fun during their visit to India. “I am very happy to see that the people here are so hospitable. I do miss the food back home but the food here in this restaurant is good.”
The team was served potato wedges, wonton in French sauce, malai paneer tikka, pizza slice, warm sala, paneer lababdar, malai methi , mattar, spice cube dal and gulab jamun for dessert.
While speaking to the media the team members took turns to photograph each other as they also had fun posing for the camera.
Louise Redmond another member of the team said that the team surely missed home but coming to India was a very good experience.
Ashley Hunter another stopper said, “The food here is very interesting, but most of us are not very fond of spicy food.”
