Slogan writing & declamation contest for school students

Ludhiana: As a part of the 550th Parkash Purab celebrations of first Sikh Guru, Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, a slogan writing competition and declamation contest on the life of Guru Nanak Dev Ji was organised by Municipal Corporation Ludhiana at BCM School, HM Colony and at Government High School, Sherpur Kalan, on Friday (September 6).
This competition was organised by the CSI team of health branch of MC Zone B. These competitions were organised wherein students wrote about his life and teachings. Students inspired to follow Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji's teachings through their writings and secured first, second and third places.
MC Commissioner Kanwal Preet Kaur Brar informed that the main purpose of holding this competition was to spread an awareness regarding Guru Nanak Dev’s life and teachings in the society, especially the youth. She said that we would like to take the Guru’s message of universal love, peace, brotherhood and living a righteous life to people from all faiths, who may not be aware much about the Guru’s contribution to the humanity. She further stated that in the coming days, more such competitions would also be organised by MC Ludhiana.
