Ludhiana, October 15, 2012: Sikhi Sidak’s AdministratorJagminder singh has said as per Indian Government, around 3,000 people were killed in 1984 in 48 hours which counted to 1 killing in less than a minute and not a single punishment given to the culprits for last 28 years.

In a statement today, hetold that youth of today had decided to start the campaign "Forgotten Citizens" where many organisations pledged to fight for the injustice. “Through Forgotten Citizens, we plan to request Indian Government to provide justice to them who lost their families in Delhi 1984 riots”, he revealed.

He said, Martin Luther King, Jr stated that "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere".

Adding, he said keeping this thought in mind, many organisations including Sikh Forum, Sikhi Sidak, Gyan SewaTrust, Better Sikh School, Bibek Trust, Lok Raj Sangthan, Bachpan Bachao Andolan, ASYO, YSL, Akal Network, Vismaad, had joined hands together to show support and unity against justice denied to Sikhs for 1984 Delhi Carnage.

Further, he said this campaign was being supported by Sikh parties and Delhi University party. He added during Forgotten Sikhs meeting held on October 14 at Punjabi Bagh all decided to join hands to raise their voice.

He further revealed that the campaign would start on 21st October from Jallianwala Bagh, Amritsar and it would go to cities such as Sultanpur Lodhi, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Chandigarh displaying Mobile Picture exhibition on 1984 Carnage. Finally, it would reach in Delhi on 28th October and roam whole Delhi.

On 3rd November, 3 pm they plan to move together from Jantar Mantar to Parliament House, New Delhi and submit their memorandum/petition to Prime Minister.

He told that this movement was headed by Senior Advocate H. S. Phoolka and Senior Journalist Jarnail Singh.
