Ludhiana, September 16, 2012: Manav Inder Singh Guram, a resident of 39, S.F., HIG Flats IIII, Rajguru Nagar, Ludhianam has complained of excessive over billing by Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL).

In a complaint sent to the PSPCL Chairman-cum-Managing Director, he has said he has a residential power connection at his residence. This connection was got in 2002 and since then he has been regularly paying his bills as per the norms.

Adding, he said he was in for a rude shock when the bill that he received was of Rs. 11,11,440. He said, “The person who handed me the bill very casually said that something seems wrong with your electricity meter please get it checked and get your bill rectified”, he said, adding since then his wife has been in complete shock and is suffering from high BP and hypertension.

He sought that he would be obliged if he (the PSPCL CMD) could take some stringent steps in order to check on where and what has gone wrong.

He has also attached a scan of the current bill (a copy is being published with this copy), in addition to the previous bill paid and the payment receipt.
