Shivratri Mahotsva Committee takes out 31st massive Shobha Yatra

Ludhiana, February 12, 2018: Shivratri Mahotsva Committee, Ludhiana on Monday took out 31st massive Shobha Yatra (Ratha-Yatra) from the city markets, in connection with Maha Shivaratri celebrations.

The Shobha Yatra was largely attended by thousands of devotees besides eminent religious, social, political leaders and educationists. It began from Shiv Mandir (Gau Ghat) despite rough weather and reached at Shree Ramlila Maidan Daresi from where it started proceeding further.

Till filing of this report, the shobha yatra was on its way. It will reach at its destinations in the mid-night. The Shobha Yatra is passing through different city areas, including Ved Mandir, Sita Mata Mandir, Partap Bazar, Meena Bazar Chowk, Mata Rani Chowk, Clock Tower, Chaura Bazaar, Ghaas Mandi Chowk, Vaishno Devi Chowk, Shivala Road and Gaushala Road.

The main attractions of the shobha yatra were gold made Swarup of Lord Shiva, silver made Panchamukha Shiva Lingam and silver-made `Ratha’.

Shri Sant Ram Lal Ji jindal (Bala Ji Parivar) presided over the shobha yatra.

Colourful religious tableau of various god and goddesses were taken out. Special arrangements were made for langars and bhajan throughout the way. The roads were decorated with decorated lights and gates. `Prasad’ was distributed among the devotees throughout the shobha yatra.
