They attended presentations, meet astronauts, gazed at moon rocks and made mini raplicas of space station .They also had zero gravity experience. A 7 Minute ride inside a gyro simulation chamber excited the students. It mimics the moment of real life space shuttle that is detached in space. According to students it was so terrifying that we were trembling that time. They have seen that it is not so easy to become an astronaut. A lot of hard work is required.
During their visit students also got chance to interact with NASA astronauts. They briefed space travel to the students. Later, students also visited the IMAX theatre and got a chance to have space-flight experience, view the shuttle landing facility as well as gain deeper understanding of rocket science and propulsion. Commenting on the trip Principal of the School Prineet Sohal said that we noticed an ever-growing interest among our students to pursue modern astronomy and hence an educational trip to NASA was planned. This trip provided a platform for children to explore their interest, enhance their potential and also encourage career prospects.
