Ludhiana, June 2, 2017: A session on expand your business & success held at Hotel Radisson Blu Ludhiana, organised TCEB (Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau) & supported by FICO on Wednesday. Growing Business opportunities in the ASEAN were discussed. ASEAN which comprises 10 member countries including Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos and Brunei is a crucial partner for India in South East Asia.
In his welcome speech, S.Gurmeet Singh Kular President FICO, welcomed the Ms.Kanokporn Damrongkul (Sr.Manager-Business Development) from Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau and Mr.Sachin Manocha, Representative India. S.Gurmeet Singh Kular further said it is an opportune time for Ludhiana Industry to understand Thailand Exhibition and Industry Potential, which shall help our industry to develop new business contacts in ASEAN Region. He also explained how India and Thailand are cooperating closely on improving regional connectivity through initiatives such as India-Myanmar-Thailand Trilateral Highway.
Ms. Kanokporn Damrongkul (Sr. Manager-Business Development) from Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau addressed the audience and explained how the India’s ‘Look East’ policy in 1991 in an attempt to increase its engagement with East and South East Asian economies in which Thailand holds very significance role or bilateral trade with India. She has explained that why Thailand is a Strategic geographical location as Thailand borders Cambodia, Laos, Burma and Malaysia by land and Indonesia, India and Vietnam by Sea which are emerging markets within ASEAN region. She also explained that the Thai economy expanded by 3.5% year-on-year (YOY) in Q2 2016, surpassing the 3.2% increase in the previous quarter, primarily due to strong growth of public investment and private consumption amid global demand weakness. She also explained the

Also she has explained the various promotional schemes TCEB is offering as
1. Members who participate in Thailand Exhibition & exhibit their products will be subsidized with 1500 USD per 36 square meter.
2. Business Connect series visitors who visits the exhibitions in Thailand and be a part of 3 meetings with the exhibitors will be subsidized with 100 USD, 1 Sim Card Free and 1 Free Metro Pass.
Sh. K. K. Seth Chairman FICO thanked TCEB and said that now Thailand is going to be center for exhibitions as previous center was Europe.
