A Seminar on Smart City Mission being held in Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar on Friday.
Jalandhar, October 16, 2015: To ensure the involvement of the students and academic intelligentsia in the Smart City Mission, the District Administration and Lyallpur Khalsa College jointly organized a seminar with the same theme in the college campus, in which students interacted with the administration on smart city mission.
Welcoming the guests the College Principal Dr. G.S. Samra said that the youth with all its energy and enthusiasm could contribute considerably to the development of the nation and hoped that participation of the students in the mission through their feedback would be helpful in drafting the action plan for the smart city project.
Speaking on the occasion the chief guest of the day Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Sh. Kamal Kishor Yadav (IAS) said that the administration was keen to obtain feedback from the diverse sections regarding their priorities on smart city project, adding that he was impressed to see the response of the students to the upcoming project. He informed the present that the project would ensure safe drinking water, cleanliness, good health and sanitation facilities and efficient transportation system for the city dwellers.
The occasion was marked by the distinguished presence of Sh. Amolak Singh Kalsi Technical Director NIC and Sh. Surjit Lal from District Guidance Council.
