Jalandhar, December 17, 2018: A two-day seminar on 'Muscle Energy Technique' (MET) organised by the Department of Physiotherapy, Lyallpur Khalsa College started with an instructive opening day sessions. The proceedings on the opening day were inaugurated by the chief guest Dr. Manjit Singh, Sports Physician, Composite Hospital, BSF, Jalandhar and he was joined by Dr. Asis Prabhakar, Kasturba Medical College, Manipal University, Karnataka for oration obligations.
College Principal Dr.Gurpinder Singh Samra and Dr.Raju Sharma Head of the Physiotherapy Department, duly welcomed the dignitaries with a bouquet of flowers. In his address, Principal Dr.Gurpinder Singh Samra highlighted the growing needs of deliberations on such imperative health issues as taken up by the aforementioned seminar theme. Chief guest Dr.Manjit Singh discussed the role of a balanced and nutritious diet in line with the training regimes for sports-persons that helps in prevention of numerous injuries and also in the healing process of the body muscles. Chief Speaker Dr. Prabhakar laid emphasis on the 'Muscle Energy Technique' (MET) as a useful therapy regarding the stiffness post muscle injuries.
The occasion was also witnessed by Head of the College Physiotherapy Department, Dr. Raju Sharma, Dr. Jaswant Kaur, Dr. Priyank Sharda, Dr. Richa, Dr. Rajveer, Dr. Komal, Dr. Banita and Dr. Sonia.
