Ludhiana, January 21, 2019: It’s a proud moment for Gujranwala Guru Nanak KhalsaCollege, Ludhiana, that two NCC Cadets Under Officer Rahul Sharma and Under Officer Nitish Bali, have been selected for the Republic Day Parade to be held on 26th of January 2019, at Rajpath, New Delhi. The college Principal, Dr Arvinder Singh had all praises for the NCC unit of the college which has proved it’s metal under the efficient supervision and guidance of Prof S. Manjit Singh, in-charge, NCC college unit. He further added that these two cadets have proved that the college believes in overall development of a student which is the real meaning of ‘education’. He,emphatically said that this institution and the teachers have always been there to provide a platform to those students who have potential, determination, dedication and devotion to do something in life.

Professor Manjit Singh told that it is noticeable that out of three NCC cadets selected for R.D. Parade, from 3 Punjab Battalion, Ludhiana group, two are from Gujranwala Guru Nanak Khalsa College. He said that not only these students have made everyone proud but two students had also been selected for the parade out of five from this institution last year only. It is to be mentioned here that Cadet Rajneesh Chandel was sent to Singapore to attend international cultural exchange programme last year.

S. Gursharan Singh Narula and Dr S. P. Singh (former Vice Chancellor, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar) the President and Honourary General Secretary, respectively, of Gujranwala Khalsa Educational Council congratulated and applauded the relentless efforts of the college Principal, Dr Arvinder Singh and in-charge, NCC unit of the college, Prof Manjit Singh. They said that these students will be honoured for their achievement, once they are back from the parade.
